What is your book about?
Clarkston’s Curse takes you back in time to the 60’s and 70’s. Every tragedy in the book is exactly how I remember it. I believed our small town was cursed. Read the book and you decide.
What inspired you to write your book?
My daughters thought some of my stories were a figment of my imagination. I hit the local library microfiche archives and realized I had a story to tell.
If you have a business related to your book, tell us about it:
Crosby and Me LLC is the business I have started for writing. I have several books in the works, including a series of Children’s Books featuring Crosby, my cat.
What is a typical day like for you?
I have a very demanding full time job as Director of Accounting for a Robotics company. I try to squeeze in writing time but it is always a challenge.
What do you most enjoy about what you do?
I love researching historic events and adding fictional characters.
What are some favorite books you’d recommend to our readers?
Don’t laugh but I read a lot of self help books. I just love Laurie Buchanan’s Note to Self. I just picked up Agatha Christie’s The Mysterious Affair at Styles. I supposed I should start reading it!
What advice do you have to offer our readers?
Pick up a random book of Non Fiction. There are so many amazing stories that have been written. Take a risk once in a while and step out of your comfort zone.
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
That I am a CPA by day and that I have a Michigan State record for the Clean and Jerk (weight lifting) in my age group.
What’s next for you?
I have several books in the works at various stages. I am excited to get the next one published!
