Outposts of Change

What is your book about?

How to create a morally rich, socially just society in harmony with nature, and why we must.

What inspired you to write your book?

50+ years of observing how humanity does most everything, the associated adverse impacts on Earth’s ability to support life and on our ability or lack thereof to responsibly manage our affairs, led me to consider how to fundamentally change our ways. There are no works that I’ve seen the even attempt to envision how to enable the changes that we need to thrive. This work sets out from a very broad perspective new goals and re-envisions new social structures within which we can enable the society that most want and so many desperately need. It presents a holistic, out of the box approach to fundamentally better ways of being.

If you have a business related to your book, tell us about it:

It’s not really so much of a business as an intent to unite existing progressive movements, people helping people be better at being human to create a global, unified movement of fundamental change. The approach is to set new goals designed to guide social change. The concepts are big and focused; fundamental. The challenge exists in finding the right words; words capable of enabling the millions of people and movements who are already engaged helping others, unite under a banner of commonality before it is too late. That is the purpose of Outposts.

What is a typical day like for you?

Somewhat frustrating in that I am not connected to social media… so I’m challenged in getting the word out to a broader audience. I’m just now trying to carve out the time to connect with progressively minded entities, nonprofits and individuals to reach a decision maker who is positioned to find the time to explore the possibilities presented within Outposts.

What do you most enjoy about what you do?

It’s stimulating to conceptualize out of the box solutions to the vast array of problems associated with being human.

What are some favorite books you’d recommend to our readers?

Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill (hint… it’s not about the money). The Secret.

What advice do you have to offer our readers?

It is time to put aside our differences, open our minds to better ways of doing most things, and then join with others to bring about the change we so desperately need to create a humane humanity.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

That although I was a practicing attorney for 25 years, I have an environmental science background way before that became a thing, worked as corporate counsel for a green energy company way before that was a thing, and have developed a profound love for all of nature, including our own species.

What’s next for you?

A sequel to Outposts of Change to further develop the fundamental structural aspects necessary to build a new society upon. It will be short and to the point.
