What is your book about?
Interviews with 14 leading professionals about the purpose if the modern corporation and the role its board of directors.
What inspired you to write your book?
Corporations have enormous impact on our world, and a responsibility to help make it a better place. At the same time, the role of the board of directors is not well understood. I want to help clarify issues and prepare leaders.

What is a typical day like for you?
Write, check on construction, visit with folks, write, attend board meetings, read.
What do you most enjoy about what you do?
The variety and the endless challenge.
What are some favorite books you’d recommend to our readers?
The 4 Hour Work Week, by Tim Ferriss. Womanly Arts 101: How to Have Your Way with the World through Pleasure, by Regena Thomashauer.
What advice do you have to offer our readers?
Write about what you love, and break the production process down into steps. What seems overwhelming at first is soon done. Then do it again!
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I moved to Mississippi from New York 15 years ago, and am reviving our old downtown.
What’s next for you?
Opening a third restaurant, and beginning a third book.
