What is your book about?
This book that women can’t wait to purchase takes you inside the life of a woman who found the strength to empower other women and change the world. The topics covered in this book will answer all your questions about how and what to do to make a difference in another person’s life. It all starts with education and the power of mentoring. This is a big part of helping women reach their goals and dreams. There is no limit to what women can do when we put our brilliant minds together. There is so much great information in this book for any woman who is wanting change in all areas of her life. The women’s empowerment movement is HUGE and you don’t want to get left BEHIND. How would you like for someone to PAY IT Forward for you? The resources provided in this book will allow you to get started now. We as women are experiencing many problems that are not being solved. This book will show you how your unsolved problems can be SOLVED today. The problem that you are having is you want to advance in your job, but have no mentor or no one to take you under their wings and bring you along with them to elevate you to a position that you can advance. The next problem is you have goals and you can’t talk to your friends at work because they don’t know how to help. You are not motivated and you give up on your dreams. Any goals that you created have not been worked on or even transformed into S.M.A.R.T goals. Other problems you have are economic and financial. You are not taking charge of your financial future. You should know how to make financial decisions on all levels, especially retirement. Women are the breadwinners in many families. We must learn how to do it positively. The book aligns everything you need to know to get started and where you can turn to for help. The value of buying this book is your entire life will be changed once you read this book. You will take action and go out and empower your family, friends, co-workers, and church members. You will become active in your community. You will look for nonprofits that support women and volunteer to help. You may even start your own business. That is one of my wishes that women reading this book will become entrepreneurs. This is a great gift for all women 18-65 years, colleagues at work, your nieces, your sisters, girlfriends, and your mom too. Now scroll to the top of this page and buy the book and get started today. Women’s Empowerment is global and you can be a global citizen and make the change everywhere.
What inspired you to write your book?
I was inspired to write the book because of being in the workplace and needing to be empowered and mentored. I could not find anyone to empower me, which led me to empower myself. In addition, I was inspired by the people closest to me, attending a 3-day workshop for writing a book in 90 days and attending a book launch for Jessica Lee Ann. After all of that mentioned, I knew that I had to write this book about my journey of women’s empowerment and how it can change women’s and young girls’ lives.
Can you describe your writing process? How did you get your book written and how long did it take?
My writing process was sporadic until I created a system that worked for me. I got my book written by writing for long periods of time when I got an idea of something I wanted to add. The writing process took me about 90 days give or take 10 additional.
What was your publishing process like? How did you publish your book and how long did it take?
I self-published my book and used IngramSpark for printing and distribution. This process took a few weeks because I needed my cover changed slightly at the end. The biggest hold-up was due to COVID starting and shutting everything down.
How do you hope your book impacts the world?
I hope that my book changes the way people think, take action, and get creative in their process of changing the world one life at a time. I would like to see women and men take what they learned from reading my book and empower others to a great masterpiece. I especially want to see young girls all over the world benefit from the book and be empowered. There are parts in the book where I mention famous people who have impacted the world and I envision that will cause others to say, I will do something big with this empowerment movement.
Are there any people and/or books that have inspired you along your journey?
My mother Dorothy Spencer-Sinegar, My Godmother Beverly Sterns, Jessica LeeAnn, Sheryl Sandberg, Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, and Barack Obama.
What’s next for you?
I’m currently working on a companion workbook, journal, and Podcast.
What advice would you offer fellow authors who are just getting started?
There is joy in the fruits of your labor once your product is complete and published. Don’t stress or let a few roadblocks get you stuck. Trust God that what your finished product is, is exactly what it should be. Also, remember that you can continue writing and each book will be different and impact more people. Find your own style of writing and go from there. You don’t need to be a follower, be creative and be you. Not every book will become a best seller overnight. You are unique and so will your work be too.
