What is your book about?

Clap If You Can Hear Me is an educational reform model that creates generational wealth and national prosperity. Tour of Insanity is a crazy, humorous but practical book about home decor and design.

What inspired you to write your book?

I am a casual gamer and we have ‘complaint’ sessions about off-the-wall things. One minute we are talking Tupperware, the next minute we are talking about how to keep it spicy in the bedroom. As these topics came up, I grew curious and started to research – and I am quite funny. With much encouragement from my game mates, I started writing.

If you have a business related to your book, tell us about it:

I used to own a business. I gave it up to write–the one thing I have always been passionate about.

What is a typical day like for you?

Chaotic mornings of getting my children ready for school, then the conversations I have with my children are wild and the inspiration for most of my blogs. I write most of the day and when I look up, it’s time to pick them up. My house is clean about one day a week because I have tunnel vision when I’m immersed in research and regurgitate facts I find to my family–the love it (I couldn’t say that with a straight face).

What do you most enjoy about what you do?

I love writing because it gets the very loud noise out of my head and captured on a page. My mind never stops. Writing seems to quiet it. That’s what I enjoy the most–peace.

What are some favorite books you’d recommend to our readers?

This is embarrassing. I love teen-girl angst. Vampire Diaries, Twilight Series, etc. I also am a huge fan of dystopian societies–my other genre. The catch is, it has to be realistic, like something that could actually happen. I love things that haunt my mind for days–for months, even better.

What advice do you have to offer our readers?

Smile at other people. They are obliged to involuntarily smile back. So, it’s like you win a thousand battles every day and experience a bit of world domination without being a villain. Although, with COVID, the smile is in the eyes, really.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

I am an optimistic person. It is just hidden by dark humor, satirical writing, and cynical quips–I’m happy though, I swear it.

What’s next for you?

I am starting my next book which will be called ‘Offended’. I don’t want to ruin the suspense, but people will either laugh or burn it.
