What is your book about?

Spirit in Nature (My poetry and images in collaboration).

What inspired you to write your book?

My love of nature. An encounter with a yellow daisy on a cattle ranch!

If you have a business related to your book, tell us about it:

I sell my book. I have sold 55,000 greeting cards, made by me, of my images.

What is a typical day like for you?

I read a lot and I write a lot. Every day is a gift. Usually I open it.

What do you most enjoy about what you do?

I am thrilled by writing poetry and my reflections on life. I’m north or 83 years old, so I have a lot of life experience, most really great, some not so hot!

What are some favorite books you’d recommend to our readers?

Still Here by Ram Dass; On the Brink of Everything by Parker Palmer; The gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown.

What advice do you have to offer our readers?

Don’t let the miracles pass you by.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

I was a successful lawyer for over 40 years. One day, I told my wife I’d be back in a month. I had an encounter with a bull moose in the Idaho wilderness and with a little yellow daisy on a Montana cattle ranch. These changed my life, and I quit law practice and morphed into a poet and a nature photographer.

What’s next for you?

My new book, out in 2022: Sweet Crazy…Walkin’ On the Edge.
