What is your book about?
This is the book your kids wish you’d read. Part 1 explains all the skills children need to learn in order to become responsible adults. Part 2 details which skills to teach at each age.
What inspired you to write your book?
As a high school teacher I realized many students weren’t learning essential life lesson like respect, manners, ethics, or even study skills.
What is a typical day like for you?
My church has asked me to write a companion workbook that can be used for parenting classes, so I’m working on that. The rest of my time is spent gardening and teaching the occasional parenting class.
What do you most enjoy about what you do?
I love the fact that I can make the child-raising adventure easier for parents of all ages.

Dare to Discipline by Dr. James Dobson, Parenting with Love and Logic by Cline and Fay, and How to Talk so Kids Will Listen and Listen so Kids will Talk by Faber and Mazlish
What advice do you have to offer our readers?
Hug your children every day!
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I used to teach Japanese Culture classes at a middle school in Okinawa.

After I finish the workbook I plan on teaching parenting classes again.
