Synopsis
This workbook is part of a three-volume set that accompanies my 2025 book, Brain Enhancement (BE) Mindful Therapy®. The original text presents the full scope of the model, including discussions of psychotropic medications and supplements used to treat mental disorders. The three-volume workbook set takes a different, more focused approach to the Brain Enhancement (BE) Mindful Therapy (BE-MT) model. Volume 1 provides the essential foundation for all applications of the model. Volume II provides details of specialized applications—including athletics, education, workplace functioning, and aging. Volume III provides information on mindful procedures for high-intensity professions, such as first responders and military personnel. Separating the volumes allows for deeper, more precise, and clinically meaningful information without overwhelming the foundational material. All three volumes serve as a practical, hands-on guide for applying (BE-MT). They translate theory into action through structured exercises, worksheets, clinical protocols, and visual learning tools.
Author Bio
Dr. Oscar J. Harp III is the developer of Brain Enhancement (BE) Mindful Therapy (BE-MT), a new form of mindfulness-based intervention (MBI). He is a licensed clinical psychologist, school psychologist, and clinical psychopharmacologist. In 2025, his book Brain Enhancement (BE) Mindful Therapy earned a Silver Book Award in the Mental Health category from the Nonfiction Authors Association and won the International Impact Book Award in two categories: Self-Help-Personal Development and Alternative Medicine-Mind Body Medicine (Meditation, Yoga, Breathwork). In 2022, Dr. Harp received the Legacy Award for outstanding service in Clinical Psychology and Black Psychology from the Howard University Psychology Department and the D.C. Chapter of the Association of Black Psychologists.
