Immigrant HealthCongratulations on your silver book award!

Immigrant Health: Enhancing Integration & Global Wellness is the third and final book in our Immigrant: Strides Toward Prosperity Series. Wellness is essential to immigrant success. This volume discusses health challenges some immigrants face in their country of origin, on their journey, and at their destination. Topics include environmental conditions that affect migrant health, unfamiliar healthcare systems and treatments immigrants may encounter, and connections between physical and mental health. We also describe the strong healthcare contributions many immigrants have made in their adopted countries and ways in which providers can become more effective when they treat people from different communities. Finally, we recommend strategies to improve global health.
