Synopsis
Grace W. Wroldson has dealt firsthand with the struggles of being in a codependent relationship with an alcoholic. She spent fifteen years loving an alcoholic and twenty years of her life in recovery programs such as Al-Anon – a twelve-step program for family and friends of alcoholics. In her book, So You Love an . . . Alcoholic? Lessons for a Codependent, Wroldson shares her story about survival, addresses the widespread problem of alcoholism, and offers readers the truth, hope, and inspiration.
Wroldson’s book is a true story about saving her child from an alcoholic home while waging a war within herself to break free from toxic codependency. She juxtaposes her personal transformation to that of a butterfly – going from being stuck in a toxic relationship to breaking free from her cocoon once she learned to love herself. Throughout her journey to self-love, she gains powerful, spiritual insights and shares over twenty-five lessons that she learned to her readers.
