This is a Navy D-Day veteran’s story of the WWII destroyer USS Murphy DD603. The ship was active in four invasions, including Normandy at Omaha Beach. The author describes his own involvement at Omaha Beach and Southern France. He was also a member of the crew when the Murphy transported King ibn Saud of Saudi Arabia from Jidda to Great Bitter Lake Egypt to meet with President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Author Bio:
The author is a WWII Navy Veteran of Operations Overlord and Dragoon. He earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Evansville College in 1950 and MBA from University of Evansville in 1979. He is a member of Non-Fiction Authors Association and American Mensa.
