AHEAD OF THEIR TIME: PIONEERS WHO SEIZED TOMORROW, TODAY BY LYNN MILLER

What if you could see problems others ignore? You know solutions that would work. But you’re still waiting for permission to act.

What if your biggest frustrations at work are million-dollar opportunities in disguise?

This easy-to-understand collection of relatable stories illustrates how thirteen ordinary professionals became industry pioneers, not by predicting the future, but by fixing what everyone else accepted as unfixable.

This book includes:
– Inspiring and actionable stories of thirteen successful pioneers.
– Practical tools and frameworks to apply in your career.
– Strategies for challenging and changing broken systems.
– Insights on how to think outside the box and find success in unexpected places.

Each chapter delivers immediately applicable frameworks, including Leanne Gordon’s “what if” questions, Andy Crestodina’s “teach before selling” marketing method, Billy Dexter’s relationship architecture, and Sonat Birnecker-Hart’s system-building approach.

Perfect for leaders navigating industry change, consultants whose insights aren’t heard, and anyone thinking “there has to be a better way.”

AS GOOD AS THE BEST: POWER AND POSSIBILITY BEYOND C-PTSD BY D. NOVO

Maybe it’s not your thoughts. Maybe it’s the echo of your trauma.

Heal to manifest.

Live your best life to heal.

As Good as the Best is a roadmap for those navigating C-PTSD and the harmful, limiting beliefs it leaves behind. It’s a radically honest and radically optimistic companion, written by someone who has walked the long road of childhood trauma recovery and wrote the guide that was always missing—the guide that only someone who has gone through it themselves could write, and that only someone who has gone through it could understand.

Moving into power and possibility requires validating the unfairness of childhood trauma, not pretending it never happened. Reclaiming your authentic self begins by noticing the imposed voices of shame, guilt, and fear that you were never meant to carry—and recognizing they are no longer helpful or relevant. Expanded emotional bandwidth and self-trust emerge by slowly regulating the nervous system and moving from hypervigilance and dysregulation into states of calm, connection, and creative expression.

You may not have chosen your childhood, but you are the hero of the story that comes next. A story where your dreams become reality because you begin to believe that you’re worthy of a life as good as the best. A story where you know you are light, and that you always have been. A story where you allow that light to unfold and expand into limitless potential and endless possibility.

JOURNEY THROUGH FIRE AND ICE: SHATTERED DREAMS ABOVE THE ARCTIC CIRCLE BY DEANNE BURCH

Embark on a profound personal journey in Journey Through Fire and Ice: Shattered Dreams above the Arctic Circle, an extraordinary true story of survival challenges and life transformation. At the tender age of twenty-three, Deanne Burch found herself on the frigid island of Kivalina, Alaska, accompanying her husband, Ernest “Tiger” Burch, on an unprecedented participant study of the Inuit people.

This gripping memoir unfolds as Deanne, a city girl with an ethnocentric perspective, grapples with the harsh realities of life 83 miles above the Arctic Circle. From skinning seals to facing relentless darkness and brutal weather, she navigates a world devoid of plumbing, running water, and electricity. Isolation becomes her constant companion as she strives to be accepted by the skeptical Inuit women.

LOGIC AND ECONOMICS: FREE GROWTH AND OTHER SURPRISES BY GORDON GETTY

Simply put, this book is about my personal ideas in economics. It’s about lessons learned from my father, J. Paul Getty, as well as my own experiences. I love the free market and the chance to prove ideas, and the fact that innovation is changing the world as we know it.

While science tends to predict the rule from the data, philosophy tends to reverse the direction. The bottom-up scientific method doesn’t get far in economics because market data reveal little about human capital, which is some two-thirds to four-fifths of all capital in most judgments including mine, beyond its rental cost in pay. The best economics can do is feel its way in the dark from assumption to prediction, as a rule, and then look for ways to scrape together enough market data for a test.
